The Training Health report provides an overview of the health and performance of training assigned within the organisation. It helps managers identify training with low completion rates, high failure rates or a high number of users who are still in progress.
The report can be used to identify training that may require further review or action.
Accessing the Training Health Report
Go to Reporting Dashboard.
Select Training Health.
The report displays performance information for the training included in the report.
Training Health Summary
The summary cards at the top of the report provide a quick overview of training performance.
Summary | Description |
Total Training | The total number of training courses included in the report. |
Low Completion (<70%) | Training where the overall completion rate is below 70%. |
High Failure (>20%) | Training where more than 20% of attempts have resulted in a failure. |
High In Progress Rate | Training with a high proportion of users currently in progress. |
These summary figures help managers quickly identify training that may require further investigation or attention.
Training Performance
The Training Performance grid provides detailed performance information for each training course.
The grid includes the following information:
Column | Description |
Training Title | The name of the training. |
Training Code | The unique code for the training. |
Assigned | The number of users assigned to the training. |
Completion % | The percentage of assigned users who have completed the training. |
Passed | The number of users who have passed the training. |
Failed | The number of users who have failed the training. |
Average Attempts | The average number of attempts made by users to complete the training. |
In Progress | The number of users currently working through the training. |
Expiring | The number of training records approaching their expiry date. |
Expired | The number of training records that have passed their expiry date. |
Risk | Indicates the overall risk level for the training based on its performance. |
Completion percentage
The Completion % column provides a visual indication of the proportion of assigned users who have completed each training course.
This makes it easier to identify training with particularly low completion rates and determine where further action may be required.
Viewing Training Details
The figures in the Assigned, Passed, Failed, In Progress, Expiring and Expired columns are interactive.
To view the users associated with a particular status:
Locate the relevant training in the Training Performance grid.
Select the required figure.
A list of users associated with that training status is displayed.
Select an individual user to view their relevant training details.
For example, selecting the number under Failed displays the users who have failed that particular training.
This allows managers to investigate specific training outcomes rather than reviewing the entire user list.
View User Details
The user list provides further information about users associated with the selected training status.
To view a user's training details:
Select the relevant status figure.
Locate the required user.
Select the user to view their training information.
Review their training status and any relevant details.
Take any required follow-up action.
This can help managers identify users who may need additional support or whose training requires attention.
Send Training Reminders
Managers can send an email reminder to a trainee from the user details where required.
To send a reminder:
Open the relevant training status.
Locate the trainee.
Open the user's training details.
Select the option to send an email reminder.
Send the reminder to the trainee.
This makes it easier to follow up with users who have outstanding, incomplete or expiring training.
Using Filters
The Filters option allows you to narrow down the information displayed in the report.
To filter the report:
Select Filters.
Select the required criteria.
Apply the filters.
The report updates to display the relevant training information.
Filters can be used to focus the report on the information most relevant to your review.
Sorting Training Performance
The Sort By option allows you to change the order in which training performance data is displayed.
To sort the report:
Select Sort By.
Select the required sorting criterion.
The Training Performance grid is reordered based on your selection.
Sorting can make it easier to identify training with low completion rates, high failure rates or other performance indicators that may require attention.
Exporting to Excel
The Export to Excel option allows the Training Health data to be exported for further analysis, reporting or record keeping.
To export the report:
Apply any required filters or sorting.
Select Export to Excel.
The Training Health data is exported as an Excel file.
