The Create Action option in an e-checklist allows users to raise actions directly against specific questions during an attempt.
There are two ways to enable the Create Action option within an e-checklist.
Method 1: Enable “Action Required” for the Entire e-Checklist
When the Action Required toggle is enabled during e-checklist creation, the Create Action option will automatically be available for all questions in that e-checklist. This cannot be disabled at individual question level.
Step 1: Navigate to e-Checklist Creation
Go to e-Checklist.
Select Administration.
Click on Create New E-Folder.
Step 2: Create the e-Checklist
Provide all the required information.
Click Next.
You will see the option to create a new e-checklist.
Click Create New.
Enter the Title of the e-checklist.
Configure the available settings as required.
Step 3: Enable “Action Required”
Locate the Action Required toggle.
Enable the toggle.
Click Save.
Step 4: Add Questions
Proceed to add questions to the e-checklist as required.
Once you have finished adding questions, switch off Maintenance Mode.
Click Next and complete the setup process.
Step 5: Assign the e-Checklist
Assign the e-checklist to the required users.
When users attempt the e-checklist, they will see the Create Action button available for all questions.
Method 2: Enable “Create Action” for Specific Questions Only
If the Action Required toggle is disabled at e-checklist level, you can enable the Create Action option for individual questions only.
When the Allow Action(s) toggle is enabled for a specific question, the Create Action button will appear only for that question during the attempt. It will not be available for all questions.
Step 1: Navigate to e-Checklist Creation
Go to E-Checklist.
Select Administration.
Click on Create New E-Folder
Step 2: Create the e-Checklist
Provide all required information.
Click Next.
Select Create New to create a new e-checklist.
Enter the Title of the e-checklist.
Configure the additional settings as required.
Ensure the Action Required toggle is disabled.
Click Save.
Step 3: Enable “Allow Action(s)” for Selected Questions
Proceed to add questions to the e-checklist.
For each question, you will see the Allow Action(s) toggle.
Enable the toggle only for the questions where you want the Create Action button to appear.
Leave the toggle disabled for other questions, if required.
Step 4: Complete the Setup
Once all questions have been added, switch off Maintenance Mode.
Click Next and complete the setup process.
Assign the e-checklist to the required users.
During the attempt, users will see the Create Action button only for the questions where Allow Action(s) has been enabled.
In the below image user can see the "Create Action" button is only available with the first question.
